Green Smoothie Revolution by Victoria Boutenko

I purchased this book at the Green Synergy Festival last year and I recommend it to everyone.  I believe in the power of the green smoothies so strongly that I do demonstrations and discussions on their health benefits.

Author Biography:

Victoria Boutenko teaches classes on raw food all over the world, and is an adjunct professor at Southern Oregon University. Her (and her family’s) teachings have inspired raw food communities everywhere. A regular contributor to such publications as Get Fresh, Just Eat an Apple, Alive, and Natuurstemmingen, she lives in Ashland, OR.

A Course in Weight Loss by Marianne Williamson

I went to an afternoon lecture with Marianne Williamson on her latest book A Course in Weight Loss.  It is all about the spiritual aspect of healing yourself. It is my personal belief and that of many others that all our body pains and issues first begin as a negative emotion, thought or belief.  They are all the things you feel dis-ease about that manifest in the body as a disease.  I have heard them called “issues in the tissues”.  This book is 21 lessons created to help you look at the blocks that keep you from expressing your highest potential and your body’s alignment with its perfect weight.
